Permanent Jewelry Appointment
We are located in the South Jersey/Philadelphia Metro area and are now taking in-person appointments for permanent jewelry! The entire appointment should take about 30 min. This booking fee is non-refundable, however it will be applied to your final jewelry purchase, due at the time of the fitting. Prices include the chain and welding procedure. (Bracelet $48, Anklet $58, Necklace $70)
Once your order is processed, someone will be in contact with you to provide directions and formalize your appointment time.
What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is custom fit jewelry, made with high end materials, welded together instead of secured with a clasp. These chains are long lasting and will not tarnish or rust. Whether you want a way to celebrate a special relationship or simply want to avoid the hassle of clasping and removing your jewelry daily, a piece of permanent jewelry may be for you. Assuming you never want or need to take it off, permanent jewelry will last as long as you want it to.
What is involved in getting permanent jewelry?
Appointments are required since the fitting and attachment must be done in our office. The booking fee is non-refundable, however, it is applied as a credit to your final purchase. We have a wide variety of chains available in sterling silver at 14k gold fill to choose from when you arrive. Charms are also available to attach to, or on your jewelry. Once your chain is selected, we will measure it on you to find the best size for you. Finally, the welding itself is painless and is surprisingly quick. It takes only one or two spot welds to permanently secure the links together. The chain is held by the designer, so there is no contact with your skin during the weld. You will see a brief flash and hear a small pop as the metal points connect. Then the weld point is polished with a cloth and your jewelry is complete. The entire appointment should take about 30 minutes. You are welcome to bring friends or a significant other with you. Each person getting permanent jewelry will need their own appointment time, and they can be booked consecutively.
What if I need to remove it?
It can be easily removed by carefully cutting with scissors. Removal doesn’t need to be permanent though, as we can re-weld it for you if needed. Permanent jewelry is designed to be worn forever. It is durable and can be worn in the shower, pool and through metal detectors. There is nothing magnetic in this jewelry so it should be safe for MRI machines. However, if a medical professional insists you remove it, you can do so with scissors and then get it re-welded after your procedure. One re-weld is included in your purchase.
