A gorgeous black iridescent keshi (cornflake) pearl is elegantly wire wrapped and suspended in perfect singularity from shimmering cable chain.
"Keshi" is the Japanese word (also meaning "poppy") which describes pearls that have been formed without a nucleus or center and are made entirely of nacre (the strong irridescent outer coating on pearls). These particular pearls are gently cupped teardrop shapes that resemble delicate flower petals.
The standard length of the necklace chain is 17 inches(43cm), and the pearl measures 16-18mm long, and 12-13mm across. No two pearls will be the same, each is unique. We don't send a pearl that is anything less than gorgeous and nicely cup-shaped but do bear in mind that these are all naturally formed and will vary in shape, but each will be the gorgeous likeness of a fallen rose petal...
The gold version is 14k gold filled (not plated) chain and wire, the silver version is 100% sterling silver. A lobster clasp is flanked by tiny rice pearls for a perfect finishing touch!
